Macaron Troubleshooting
Find the failing step before restarting a project or changing its setup.
An agent cannot start
Check the selected computer, agent installation and provider sign-in. Read the error in the thread. A Macaron account or subscription does not replace the account required by Claude Code, Codex or another coding agent.
A preview does not load
Check the server terminal for a build error, confirm that the process is still running and select the port the server actually opened. On an isolated or remote computer, the server must listen on an interface the preview connection can reach. See https://macaron.sh/docs/previews
A repository action fails
Check the remote URL, branch, Git status and repository permissions. On the selected computer, run gh auth status if the action uses GitHub CLI. Read any conflict before retrying; do not discard local changes to make a push succeed.
A check fails
Run the same project command in the terminal and read its output. Compare the result with the check before the agent turn. A passed test command only verifies what that command covers; inspect the affected feature as well.
Before asking for help
Record the app version, operating system, selected computer, action you took and exact error. Remove API keys, access tokens and private project data from anything you share.
